Do cinemas care if you take food in?
It's time to think again. For years, smuggling food and drink into cinemas has felt like a crime, but no more. Our wildest dreams have come true, and it has finally been confirmed that, yes, you can officially bring your own snacks to watch films in public places.
Can I bring in my own food and drink? Cineworld have a strict NO HOT FOOD OR ALCOHOL policy. We reserve the right to refuse customers entry into the screens with hot food or alcohol bought outside the premises. All our cinemas display the necessary signage, advising customers of this policy.
Some cinemas prohibit outside food for different reasons. Cinema-goers could potentially bring in undesirably smelly food and ruin the whole theater experience for everyone else. They could also bring in 'loud' food – like crunchy chips or distracting crinkly wrappers.
Most theaters do not make their money from ticket sales. They make money from selling the food and drinks. As a result, they don't want you bringing your own food and drinks in.
Most of the time at most of the theaters, the ticket inspectors will ask you to deposit your backpacks at the drop-off counter. They might let you bring your backpack along only if are they allowed to see inside it. This serves the important rule at any given movie theater: “No outside food or drink is allowed”.

Water bottles are allowed into most movie theaters, as long as they have water in them and not some other outside drink that hasn't been bought at the concessions.
Yes. I do it all the time! I have an AMC Stubs Reward card, go to the movies three times a week and bring my blanket with me all the time! Love it!

Do movie theaters check bags AMC?
AMC, the nation's second-largest cinema chain, gives theaters managers the discretion to check for bags if they have security concerns, but there is no bag check policy for all theaters, said one person close to the company. AMC spokesman Ryan Noonan said the company does not comment on security measures.
The first piece of advice is also the easiest: pee before the movie starts. Generally, healthy adults urinate every 3-4 hours, so the longer a movie runs, the more urgent it becomes to reset your internal pee clock as close to the opening scene as you can.

Just be careful though as The Light has seats that when you lean back the seat rolls back with you. Make sure you're both leaning back at the same time and you're good to cuddle!
While some theaters request no outside food be brought in, AMC Entertainment Inc., one of the country's largest movie chains, has an outright ban. People who ignore the rule can be asked to leave.
AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Marcus, and most other movie theaters have a policy that explicitly forbids outside food and drinks. This includes water bottles, as well. You can often sneak a box of candy or can of soda into the theater without getting caught.
Passengers are also permitted one, 45-linear inch, hand-carried item, e.g. small suitcase, garment bag, backpack.
Bags 16” x 16” x 6” or smaller are allowed in the theatre. Exceptions to this rule include medical equipment bags and diaper bags.
