Asia. Bangladesh and the eastern parts of India are very exposed to destructive tornadoes. Bangladesh, the Philippines, and Japan have the highest number of reported tornadoes in Asia.

The common name is tropical cyclone. In East Asia, we call them typhoons; in the Atlantic and northeastern Pacific, they're known as hurricanes; while in the southeastern Indian Ocean they are labeled cyclones.

Several climatological studies of tornadoes for the Indian subcontinent have been carried out. The most comprehensive works were by Petersen and Mehta (1981), which documented 51 possible tornadoes across Bengal, 18 of which killed 10 people or more.

Is there tornado in Philippines?
A rare tornado hit Metro Manila, Philippines at around 4:30 p.m., local time, on August 14, 2016, amid floods and heavy rains caused by the southwest monsoon, which affected the island of Luzon. This was the second time in recorded history that a tornado struck the metropolis.
Other tornadoes were recorded in 1945 in Moscow and in 1951, 1956, 1970, 1971, 1984 (during the tornado outbreak of 9 June), 1987, 1994, and 1997 in Moscow Oblast 100 km south-east from Moscow (near Zaraysk).
